In the Human Design System, Type represents the most fundamental division of humanity into four distinct genetic and auric groups: Manifestors, Generators, Projectors, and Reflectors. Type is not a psychological or personality classification but is instead a biological frequency determined by your body’s genetic makeup and the specific definition in your BodyGraph. Your Type remains the same throughout your entire life and dictates your Strategy, which is the correct way for your “vehicle” to navigate the world without meeting resistance.
The four Types are broadly categorized into energy types and non-energy types based on their consistent access to a motor for work or initiation.
The Magnetic Monopole, located in the G Center, is responsible for creating the illusion of the holistic being and determining which Type a person will be. Types interact through auric communication, where the auras do the “talking” for us: Generator auras provoke others to ask them questions; Projector auras provoke recognition; Manifestor auras challenge or initiate; and Reflector auras provoke others to look to them for assessment. Following your Type’s Strategy maximizes your energy potential and aligns you with your unique life purpose.
