Generators, also known as Builders, represent approximately 70 percent of the population and function as the primary life-force energy of the planet. They are defined by a defined Sacral Center, which acts as a powerful motor generating sustainable energy for work, creation, and reproduction. The Generator’s role is to engage with life through sustainable building and maintenance, finding their true identity and purpose through the work they love.
Explore Types Human Design:
Generators are designed to respond to life. Their power comes from the sacral “yes” — when they wait to respond, they align with satisfaction and sustainable energy.
Frustration arises when they initiate instead of respond. It signals they’re out of alignment with their sacral truth.
MG’s have both Generator and Manifestor traits. They’re designed to respond quickly, often skipping steps, and need freedom to move fast and pivot.
Like Generators, MG’s must respond first. But they also need to inform others of their actions to reduce resistance when shifting directions.
The Manifesting Generator is a variation of the Generator Type, comprising approximately 33 percent of the population. While they share the same defined Sacral Center and enveloping aura, they possess a motor connected directly to the Throat Center.
The Archetype of Efficiency: MG’s are designed to move quickly from response to manifestation. They have a unique gift for seeing which steps in a process are essential and which can be skipped, resulting in extreme efficiency.
The Dilemma of Speed: This efficiency creates a tendency toward impatience. MG’s often move so fast that they miss essential steps and are forced to go back and redo them, which leads to intense frustration.
Archetypal Definition: The only “true” or pure Manifesting Generator connection is the Channel of Charisma (34-20), which connects the Sacral power directly to present-moment action.
Strategy Nuance: Despite their manifesting potential, MG’s must follow the Generator Strategy to respond. They must wait for a stimulus to respond to before their manifesting energy can be used correctly; otherwise, they meet the same resistance as a pure Generator.
Sleep Habits: Both types must completely exhaust their daily supply of Sacral energy before they can achieve restful, regenerating sleep. If they go to bed without burning off their energy, they wake up unrefreshed.
Emotional Authority: Approximately half of all Generators (pure and manifesting) have a defined Solar Plexus, meaning their Strategy is to wait for emotional clarity over time. For these individuals, there is no truth in the now, and they must wait for their emotional wave to settle before honoring their Sacral response.
Decision Making: For both types, the mind is not an authority but a passenger. Decisions must be made through the Sacral response (or Emotional clarity) to ensure the vehicle navigates its correct geometry in the world.

“Born Alan (Robert) Krakower in Montreal, Canada April 9, 1948. He disappeared in 1983 and re-emerged as Ra on the Island of Ibiza and began a process of mystical deconstruction climaxing with his encounter with the “Voice.” Titled ‘Uru Hu’ by the “Voice,” Ra’s encounter and education lasted from January 3-11, 1987.”
