Surprise Vs Dissapointment

Reflectors, also known as Evaluators in career contexts, represent approximately 1% of the population. They are uniquely identified by having no fixed definition in their BodyGraph, meaning all nine centers remain white and undefined. Unlike the other three “Solar” types whose purpose shines through them, the Reflector is a Lunar type designed to operate as a reflection of the sun’s programming through the Moon.

Reflector Human Design

The Sampling Aura and Environmental Role

The Teflon Aura: Reflectors possess a sampling aura that is described as both resistant and sampling. This aura acts as a protective shield, often compared to a “Teflon” coating, which allows them to appraise and “taste” the energies of others without absorbing them too deeply.

  • Canary in the Coal Mine: Reflectors function as the judges of humanity. Like a “canary in a coal mine,” they sample the environment to measure the physical, psychic, and emotional health of a community or group.
  • Reflecting Injustice: Their role is to reflect back the not-self injustices they see in society, prodding humanity toward a more equitable and cooperative existence.
  • Detecting Authenticity: They have a unique ability to sense who is living authentically and who has become a victim of the transit field’s conditioning.

Strategy and Authority

The Lunar Cycle: Because they have no reliable source of “yes” or “no” within them, their Strategy is to wait through a full 28-day lunar cycle before making major decisions.

  • Consistency through Transits: As the Moon moves through all 64 gates every 28 days, it creates a consistent monthly pattern of temporary definitions in the Reflector’s chart, providing a reliable framework for their decision-making process.
  • The Need for Confidantes: During this cycle, Reflectors should discuss their potential decisions with trustworthy advisers or confidantes. By hearing themselves talk over time, they eventually arrive at an inner knowing.
  • Initiation by Others: Reflectors cannot initiate themselves; their decision-making process must be triggered by an important offer or invitation extended by others.

The Not-Self Theme and Signature

The Not-Self Theme and Signature

  • Disappointment: When a Reflector fails to follow their Strategy and tries to initiate or be like an energy type, their not-self theme is disappointment. This disappointment is often directed at the homogenized world and its distorted interactions.
  • Surprise: Their signature goal is surprise. They live for moments of awe and wonder when they sample something truly different or see someone break the pattern of illusion to become their authentic self.

Environmental and Physical Well-being

Place is Key: For a Reflector, place is everything. Because they mirror their environment, being in the correct place with the correct people is imperative to their health; if the environment feels good, they feel good.

  • Need for Solitude: It is essential for Reflectors to have a dedicated creative space where they can be alone to “shake off” the conditioning they have taken in from others during the day.
  • Sleep Habits: Reflectors should go to bed before they are totally exhausted. Lying down for up to an hour before sleep allows their aura time to release energies that do not belong to them, preparing them for a restful night.
  •

Relationships and Interaction

  • Narcissistic Mirroring: Reflectors often mirror and magnify their partner’s definition back to them. This can lead to narcissistic relationships where the partner falls in love with their own reflection rather than the Reflector themselves.
  • Dependence: If Reflectors are rushed into decisions or lack a secure process, they risk becoming dependent on others who have reliable personal authority.
  • Reflector Children: It is vital for parents not to rush Reflector children, allowing them to grow according to their personal rhythm and supporting them in a learning environment that does not impose heavy expectations.

Reflectors have all centers undefined, allowing them to mirror the environment and the people around them. They are lunar beings, deeply connected to cycles.

Reflectors are meant to wait a full lunar cycle (about 28 days) before making big decisions. This allows clarity to emerge through reflection and time.
