Codon Alchemy – Part 2: Cysteine, Glutamine & Glutamic Acid in Human Design

Introduction: Biochemistry

In Human Design, codon mapping synthesizes the 64 hexagrams of the I’Ching with the 64 codons of human DNA, organizing them into chemical families based on amino acids. These chemical groupings create codon pathways that move information through the BodyGraph, particularly during the transition from sleep to waking consciousness.

Discover how amino acids shape consciousness through the 64 Gates. Explore the frequency and function of your DNA from a Human Design perspective:

Cysteine (Cystein)

  • Associated Gates: Gate Gate 16 – The Gate of Skills and Gate Gate 45 – The Gate of the Gatherer.
  • Mechanical Synthesis: Both gates are located in the Throat Center, which is biologically associated with the thyroid gland and the establishment of the form principle.
    • Gate 16 (Enthusiasm/Skills) provides the logical drive for the mastery of skills and identification with workable solutions.
    • Gate 45 (Gathering Together) serves as the Voice of the Tribe, focusing on the accumulation and management of material resources.
  • Thematic Overview: Cysteine chemistry is deeply concerned with the concretization of the material plane. It synthesizes the talent for detailed skill application (16) with the hierarchical authority to gather resources for tribal survival (45).

Glutamine (Glutamin)

  • Associated Gates: Gate Gate 13 – The Listener and Gate Gate 30 – The Gate of Clinging Fire.
  • Mechanical Synthesis: This family links the G Center (Identity) with the Solar Plexus Center (Emotional Motor).
    • Gate 13 (The Listener/Fellowship of Man) is a role gate that collects memories and secrets from human experience.
    • Gate 30 (Feelings/The Clinging Fire) provides the emotional fuel of desire and recognizes limitation as a fate.
  • Thematic Overview: Glutamine represents the drive to discover higher principles of life through the human experiential way. It synthesizes the retrospective wisdom of the listener (13) with the “clinging fire” of emotional intensity (30), binding the collection of history to the burning desire for new experience.

Glutamic Acid (Glutamin-Acid)

  • Associated Gate: Gate Gate 44 – Alertness and Gate 50 – The Cauldron .
  • Mechanical Synthesis: This is a codon family rooted in the Splenic Center (Survival Instinct).
    • Gate 44 (Alertness) is the gate of instinctive memory, biologically responsible for cellular water balance and the osmotic regulator. And the keeper of tribal values. This gate carries the moral code of responsibility and protection, echoing Glutamic Acid’s excitatory role in sparking reaction and regulation.
  • Thematic Overview: Glutamic Acid anchors the fear of the past and provides the alertness necessary to manage the survival of the bio-form. It functions as a historical archive of biological evolution, enabling the vehicle to recognize patterns of the past to ensure continuity and avoid material loss.

Information Movement and Transference

During the process of codon transference, information received during the sleep state moves along these amino acid chains to hit specific points in the waking BodyGraph. For instance, information received through the 13 or 30 in the sleep matrix uses the Glutamin pathway to reinforce mental values or emotional desires upon awakening. These chemical families ensure that the evolutionary program imprints the personality consistently through the cellular infrastructure of the body.

Ra Uru Hu The Founder The human Design System

“Born Alan (Robert) Krakower in Montreal, Canada April 9, 1948. He disappeared in 1983 and re-emerged as Ra on the Island of Ibiza and began a process of mystical deconstruction climaxing with his encounter with the “Voice.” Titled ‘Uru Hu’ by the “Voice,” Ra’s encounter and education lasted from January 3-11, 1987.”
