The mechanics
Gate 48 is in the Spleen, in the Collective Understanding circuit, and it is the Spleen end of 48-16, the Wavelength, the design of talent. Ra called the Well a resource, a pool where vital information is stored as a pattern, and its quality depends on what the 18's judgment put in it. Without depth, the common good can never be established.
Ra was also honest about what the Well contains. He called it the gate of black magic, knowledge without the ability to manifest. I know how to turn straw into gold, if you give me the money to build the machine. And he said the Well is not only filled with essential truth. It is also filled with a lot of junk, like the theme songs of radio commercials from twenty-five years ago.

The Sun completes 48-16 for you.
If you have Gate 16 defined in your Throat, the Sun completes the 48-16 channel for you until Thursday. You get a temporary Spleen-to-Throat definition and the whole Wavelength with it: depth that finally has a skill to express through. Watch whether you are being asked to experiment, because the 48 without an invitation is frustration with a vocabulary.
The Earth completes 21-45.
If you carry Gate 45, the Earth completes 21-45, the Money Line, on the other side. The will to control resources will find its voice.
If you have neither, this is a conditioning field. Depth is in the air, and an open Spleen will feel inadequate next to it.

What to watch, not what to do
Ra said the frustration in this gate is necessary, because it is so hard for logic to reach a motor. None of the three logic gates in the Throat connects to energy, which is why the collective has committees and recommendations and the endless question of why they do not just do it. Whether you get to experiment this week is for Strategy and Authority. The depth waits either way.
The uncomfortable part
Ra's exchange between the two harmonic gates is the one to sit with: the 48 always fears it lacks skills and the 16 always fears it lacks depth, and each confuses the two. This week the field is full of expertise.
