The mechanics
Gate 47 is in the Ajna, in the Collective Sensing circuit, and it is the Ajna end of 47-64, Abstraction, the design of mental activity and clarity. Ra's image is a cinema. You expect a feature film, and the 64 shows you thousands of video clips instead. The 47's potential is to realize which single clip, the freeze frame, makes sense of the rest.
Ra said there is no more difficult heading in the whole Rave I Ching than this one: a restrictive and adverse state as a result of internal weakness or external strength, or both. The abstract process cannot prove anything, because there is no Spleen in it. All you can do, in essence, is guess, and wait for the aha.

The Sun completes 47-64 for you.

If you carry Gate 12, the Earth completes 22-12, Openness, on the other side. You will be charming in the mood and closed out of it.
If you have neither, this is a conditioning field. The pressure to make sense of things is in the air, and an open Ajna will draw conclusions about a past that was not its own.

What to watch, not what to do
Ra's secret for this whole circuit is one word: patience. You cannot go into the image pool and rummage around for a resolution. And Ra named what the realizing is often about on the personal level: who gets the blame, me or them. Whether you act on a conclusion this week is for Strategy and Authority. The Definitive Book is blunt that the ahas are for sharing, never for acting on.
The uncomfortable part
Ra said that even when you finally make sense of it, that does not say anything. It relieves the oppression for a moment, and then it still has to become an idea and go through a long process before it means anything to anyone else. This week the field is full of people who have worked something out.
