The Solar Plexus In Human Design

You’ve probably made a decision on a good day that looked completely different by Thursday. The facts hadn’t changed, but you had. The same situation, viewed from a different point on a wave you didn’t know you were riding, produced a different answer entirely.

And if you made the call on the high, you’re probably still living with what it cost you once the wave came back down.

That is a body telling you, as clearly as it knows how, that it wasn’t finished processing yet. Indecisiveness has nothing to do with it.

No truth in the now

If you carry this particular kind of emotional wiring, everything else builds on one fact: there is no truth in the now. What you’re feeling right now is real. It’s a single frame in a longer film, and mistaking one frame for the whole story is what produces the decisions you later regret.

Real clarity here doesn’t arrive in a flash. It arrives after the wave has run its course.

This wave isn’t random, even though it can feel that way from the inside. It moves in a real pattern, rising and falling without needing an external trigger to explain either direction. That is part of why it’s so easy to misread: you go looking for a reason your mood shifted and often there simply isn’t one to find.

The shift is the mechanism working, and nothing is wrong.

What makes this hard to live gracefully in a culture obsessed with fast answers is that the instinct everywhere else is to decide now, commit now, resolve the discomfort of uncertainty as quickly as possible. This wiring runs on the opposite instruction. Decisions made from an emotional peak or an emotional low tend to unravel later, because the feeling was incomplete, a snapshot mistaken for the whole picture, even though it was never fake.

This wave also doesn’t move the same way in everyone carrying it. Some people experience something closer to a steady build that requires real closeness or contact to surface, an intimacy-based rhythm that feels stable but needs proximity to bring the feeling into view at all.

Others experience more of a slow accumulation, where small unspoken irritations quietly stack on top of each other until something finally gives, releases, and resets. That kind of pressure builds through everything left unsaid instead of through any single event.

Still others move through long stretches of even, level ground, interrupted by sudden spikes of inspiration or melancholy that seem to come from nowhere and demand real solitude to process. And some ride a wave built almost entirely around anticipation, a climb toward an experience that peaks with excitement and then crashes hard when the reality doesn’t match what was hoped for.

One thread runs through all of them, whichever shape your own wave takes: none of these patterns are asking to be fixed or smoothed out. They’re asking to be ridden. The goal was never emotional flatness but staying in real contact with the rise and the fall both, without grabbing for a permanent answer in the middle of either one.

One distinction needs precision here, because it changes how you wait. This kind of clarity is different from the instant, absolute certainty some other parts of the body provide in a single moment. It’s slower and less dramatic, an emotional calm that settles in only after enough time has passed for a deeper truth to surface.

It is never one hundred percent certainty. It’s a quiet settledness that tells you the wave has completed its cycle, and what remains standing on the other side of it can be trusted.

How your wave affects the people around you

This has real consequences for anyone sharing space with someone built this way, and it deserves to be said directly. If your emotional wave is your own, defined and running consistently regardless of who’s around, you’re shaping the emotional temperature of every room you’re in, whether you intend to or not.

People near you pick up on that field. Some of them, built without that same fixed rhythm of their own, do more than notice your wave. They absorb it and amplify it, often feeling your highs and lows more intensely than you feel them yourself.

This creates a specific and often invisible dynamic. People on the receiving end of that amplification sometimes develop a habit of avoiding confrontation altogether, because the intensified wave coming back at them feels destabilizing in a way they can’t quite name or explain. If someone close to you seems unusually conflict-avoidant around you specifically, ask yourself honestly whether your own unprocessed wave might be part of what they’re quietly bracing against.

A practical piece of wisdom deserves to be taken seriously: when you’re on the low part of your own wave, solitude is an act of consideration, not avoidance. Placing your low on someone else, especially someone who’s going to amplify it involuntarily, doesn’t lighten your load. It doubles the weight and hands half of it to someone who never agreed to carry it.

What changes the relationship to all of this is something closer to surrender, and willpower applied against the wave, trying to force it into stillness through discipline, plays no part. This surrender is the specific relief of no longer trying to manage chemistry that was never yours to manage in the first place, with nothing passive or resigned about it.

When the mind stops fighting the rise and fall and simply becomes a relaxed witness to it, something shifts. The wave stops feeling like chaos and starts feeling like depth, the texture that makes an emotional life rich instead of flat.

Ra also forecast a mutation of the emotional center itself. The Solar Plexus is becoming a center of spirit awareness, and Ra said this process is cosmically supported beginning in 2027.

You don’t need to wait for that date to use any of this. The wave is already here, and you can learn to ride it today.

The practice, stripped down to what’s usable: the next time you feel a strong pull toward a decision, on either a high or a low, resist the urge to act from that single frame. Give it real time. Let the wave move through its cycle before you commit to anything that matters.

What decision are you currently sitting on that would benefit from a few more days of riding the wave, instead of deciding from wherever you happen to be standing on it right now?

Q&A log · declassified · edit freely

It’s a fluctuating emotional energy experienced by those with a defined Solar Plexus Center. It’s cyclical and requires time for clarity.

If your Solar Plexus is defined and no other authority overrides it (like Splenic or Sacral), you have Emotional Authority.

Typically 1–3 days or longer, until you feel emotionally neutral and clear. Sleep on important choices.

They can’t be eliminated but can be navigated with tools like journaling, breathing, and awareness practices.

It enhances empathy and connection but also requires strong boundaries and clear communication.

It’s a global shift predicted in Human Design, gradually awakening humanity to emotional awareness as a new form of intelligence.

Types Of Emotional Waves

  • Tribal Wave – Support and Passion: 59-6-Source wave, Tribal wave

    • Starts small, builds tension, and releases emotionally.

    • Themes: Connection, family, support.

  • Individual Wave – Mood and Inspiration:

    • Deep and unpredictable emotional cycles.

    • Themes: Empowerment, melancholy, creativity.

  • Collective Wave – Experience and Clarity:

    • Gradual climb to emotional clarity through experience.

    • Themes: Sharing, storytelling, understanding the human condition.

  •

1. The Source Wave (Steady/Intimacy)

    • Channel: 59-6 (The Channel of Mating).
    • Pattern: Builds and stalls.
    • Nature: This is the source of all wave mechanics and is characterized by a continuous, steady emotional pressure. It governs the diaphragm of intimacy, determining if you are open or closed to the other. This wave feels very stable but requires physical proximity or touch to bring the emotion to the surface.

2. The Tribal Wave (Need/Sensitivity)

    • Channels: 19-49 (The Channel of Synthesis) and 37-40 (The Channel of Community).
    • Pattern: Ratchets up and explodes.
    • Nature: This wave is rooted in physical touch, sensitivity, and basic tribal needs like food and shelter. Pressure accumulates through a “ratcheting” process, where minor irritations go unsaid, until a threshold is hit and the energy suddenly explodes and resets. It is the glue of tribal bonding and marriage contracts.

3. The Individual Wave (Passion/Moodiness)

    • Channels: 39-55 (The Channel of Emoting) and 22-12 (The Channel of Openness).
    • Pattern: Planing and Spiking.
    • Nature: This wave is irregular and mutative, often remaining on an even keel (planing) for long periods before experiencing sudden upward or downward spikes of passion or melancholy. It is the wave of the creative muse; when the “spikes” are down, it is a time for private retreat and reflection. It is deeply acoustic and mood-dependent.

4. The Collective/Abstract Wave (Desire/Feeling)

    • Channels: 41-30 (The Channel of Recognition) and 36-35 (The Channel of Transitoriness).
    • Pattern: Peaks and crashes.
    • Nature: Driven by desire and expectation, this wave builds toward an intense peak of anticipation for a new experience. It crashes when the reality of the experience fails to meet the initial high expectation. The secret to navigating this wave is to enter experiences simply for their own sake, without attachment to specific outcomes.

Defined Vs Undefined Solar Plexus

  • Defined: You create your own emotional frequency. Your decisions require time for emotional clarity.

  • Undefined: You amplify emotions from others. Learning to discern what’s yours versus what’s not is crucial.

Footage note – EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Interpersonal Dynamics of Emotionality

Amplification: If you have a defined Solar Plexus, you are responsible for the emotional environment because your aura “colors” the space. People with an undefined (open) Solar Plexus act as mirrors; they take in and amplify your wave, often feeling your highs and lows twice as intensely as you do.

Confrontation and Truth: Those with an undefined emotional system often develop a “nice persona” to avoid confrontation and truth, as the amplified waves of others feel destabilizing to them.

Wisdom in Solitude: It is essential for emotional beings to be alone when on the downside of their wave to avoid placing unnecessary pressure or “chaos” on others.

By following Strategy and Authority, the mind is liberated from trying to control these chemical swings. Instead, the mind becomes a relaxed passenger, observing the beauty of the emotional spectrum as it brings depth and richness to the human experience.
