The mechanics
Gate 50 is in the Spleen, in the Defence circuit, and it is the Spleen end of 50-27, Preservation, the design of custodianship. Ra called it the root of awareness. Like the 6 it is a gate of fusion, and all three Splenic streams, taste, intuition and instinct, are rooted in it. Its mystical name is the Guardian, and it is where the body the 6 builds gets guarded and maintained.
It is the Tribal lawgiver. Ra said the laws of the tribe, the community and the culture all come out of this existential awareness. Every Spleen gate carries a fear, and the fear here is the one at the heart of all awareness: the fear of responsibility. The potential is to be responsible, or not.

The Sun completes 50-27 for you.
If you have Gate 27 defined in your Sacral, the Sun completes the 50-27 channel for you until Sunday. You get a temporary Spleen-to-Sacral definition and the whole custodian with it: the power to care and the values to know for whom. Watch whether the responsibility you are taking on is yours.
The Earth completes 3-60.
If you carry Gate 60, the Earth completes 3-60, Mutation, on the other side. The pulse will be there, then gone, and something new will try to find its form.
If you have neither, this is a conditioning field. Rules are in the air, and an open Spleen will take responsibility for things it was never equipped to handle.

What to watch, not what to do
Ra's first line is the one to keep. First you need the foundation, and only from the foundation can refinement come. He said he had ten first lines in his own chart and was stupid for thirty-eight years. The Definitive Book adds that without the 27, the 50 will try to care for people physically when it is not correct, and fulfil its own fear. Which responsibility to take is for Strategy and Authority.
The uncomfortable part
Ra said the world we live in, and the way we share our lives with each other, is dictated by the frequencies that come out of this gate. This week the field is full of people defending values.
